What you need to know before you apply
      1. The school accepts children from 4.5 years and up to 13 years old.
      2. The school hours is 10 am to 2 pm, Monday to Thursday. Pre- and after-school care service is not available at this time.
      3. Regular attendance is mandatory. Late arrivals or unexcused absence will be monitored. If you know you won’t be able to adhere to our hours regularly, please yield the spot to other children.
      4. School Fee is $230 for your one child, $210 for a second child and $200 for each additional sibling if applicable. The books and other activity fees are included. This fee is nonrefundable after the starting day of the school.
      5. All children and parents are reminded to adhere to Islamic principles and teachings in their conduct and appearance in and outside the mosque: (i.e. dress code, ethical manners, attitude, behavior, etc).
      6. We do not offer meals, so each child is required to bring his/her daily lunch (peanut free please).
      7. Finally, our program needs committed parents for the better education for their children. Parent interaction with their kids and the school is important to maximize the benefits of the school for all. If you consider this as a daycare for your kids, you are in the wrong place!
The purpose of the following admission procedure is to allow a nicely organized start of our program. We want our kids to start their regular classes since day one. Before we start classes in July 11th, we plan to have all teachers oriented, all students assigned to their classes, and all fees paid. Late application or late show ups really miss out our plan, and therefore are
      assigned with extra fees.
      The Application
      1. Application Deadline is Saturday June 25th, 2016 at 12:00 pm
      2. Please fill out ALL fields of the online form below and provide your active email address.
      3. If you cannot use the online form, please print and fill out the application form “word document” and bring it with you in the Registration Day.
      4. All applications submitted beyond the deadline will ONLY be considered if we still have some open spots in school classes. If so, we may ask the candidates to write an assessment test individually to see in which level they fit most. A late application fee of $20 per child will be applied to cover the extra administration work required.
      5. Application does not guarantee a spot for in the school. Enrollment is first-come first-serve and depends on the availability of teachers and enough students to open a class for each level
      6. By submitting this form, you declare that you have accepted and will adhere to our regulations mentioned in this website.

      Registration Day
      Saturday June 25th, 2016 at 12:00 pm
      1. Level assessment, tuition fee payment, and parent orientation will all be carried out at this event. All parents and applying students are required to attend. Please come to the MCE mosque and proceed to the hall in the lower floor.
      2. This is our chance to meet with you. Inshaa Allaah, you will be able to obtain a more in-depth overview of the school and the curriculum, have a hand on the books that will be used, and visit the classrooms and the facilities.
      3. All Level Assessment tests will be carried on in this event. Therefore, late applications require additional arrangement and will be charged additional fees.
      4. Level assessment is exclusively the responsibility of the school and is carried out by a standardized short exam. Children can be reassessed during the first few days of classes if the teacher or the principal recommended so. At all times, parent input is naturally biased and will not be considered as a basis for the assessment.
      5. All tuition must be paid in this event for the application to be considered. Parents can pay the fees in cash, or by checks payable to “Muslim Community of Edmonton & Muslim House”, and put as memo: child name for “Summer School”. We accept up to 3 instalments in post-dated checks.
