Adult School
(days vary based on age group)
Philosophy and Overview
At MCE’s Adult School, our philosophy focuses on empowering learners spiritually, linguistically, and intellectually by providing a supportive and focused learning environment for youth and adults.

We aim to help our learners overcome the common challenges in reading and memorizing the Qur’an by guiding them through a well-structured and disciplined memorization program, built on a clear and realistic timeline.

Additionally, we provide in-depth instruction in Arabic language through the Miftah Al-Arabiyyah curriculum, focusing on the four key language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Our goal is to help students communicate effectively in Arabic and build the language foundation necessary for understanding and reflecting upon the Qur’an.
Structure:
📘 Arabic Program: Miftah Al-Arabiyyah (2 hours per session)
📖 Qur’an Program: Structured memorization plan (1 hour per session)

Schedule
Age 14–17: Saturdays & Sundays | 2PM – 5PM
Ages 18+: Tuesdays & Thursdays | 6PM – 9PM

Ages: the school accepts students starting from age 14 and above, provided they are ready and committed to completing the program.

Program Details
Admission
Admission to the Adult School is based on completing the registration and payment of the fees, student assessments and space availability.

Note: Applying does not guarantee a spot at the school. If all spots are filled, interested applicants will be placed on a waiting list and contacted when a spot becomes available, in-shaa'-Allah.

Returning students are guaranteed a spot if they have met their targets (academic and attendance) in the preceding year. If they give up their spot it will be made available to new students.

Registration steps
• Read the program details to ensure that this is the right program for your child.
• Complete the online registration form.
• Ensure that your fees are paid prior to the first day of the semester (deadline).

Class size
We believe that small classes (10-15 students) ensure that every student gets their learning needs addressed effectively.

Tuition fees
Tuition fees are due by the first day of each semester.
We accept cheques (post-dated cheques are accepted for installment payments) OR e-transfers sent to: [email protected].

Please include the child’s name and/or payer’s full name in the memo, and send proof of payment to: [email protected].

Curriculum fees: $100 per student (one-time fee)
Semester fees: broken down as follows and may be payable with up to two installments (1/semester):
• Semester 1 (Sep2025): $75 × 4 Months = $300/student
• Semester 2 (Jan 2026): $75 × 4 Months = $300/student

Parent involvement (for students under the age of 18)
The success of our program depends largely on parental involvement. Learning and memorizing the Holy Qur'an requires daily practice, and consistent home practice significantly enhances a child's progress. We provide parents with a weekly report on student progress and the areas they should follow up on at home. The MCE maintains an open-door policy, allowing parents to visit the classroom and monitor student activities with prior coordination.

We always welcome parent feedback and suggestions.

Attendance and punctuality
To maximize our time together, we encourage punctuality.
The learning process requires continuity. Therefore, attendance is mandatory unless there is a valid excuse and communication with the teacher.
If your child cannot attend regularly, please allow another student to take their seat, as spots are limited.
Students who do not comply with the attendance policy will be asked to withdraw.

Testing
We organize regular assessments to monitor students' progress and better meet their educational needs.

School reports
All students receive progress reports at the end of each semester. These reports list their achievements throughout the semester.

Recognitions and Competitions
Certificates are awarded upon successful completion of a specific level.

We hold competitions to motivate and encourage our students. Outstanding achievements throughout the semester will be recognized with certificates and gifts.

Extracurricular activities
We organize extracurricular activities throughout the semester to inspire students and maintain a healthy balance between academic and leisure time.

Behavioral Role Models  (for students under the age of 18)
We understand the challenges parents face in raising their children Islamically these days.
We will, in-shaa'-Allah, work hand-in-hand with parents to model and reinforce positive behaviors in children, in accordance with the teachings of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Lunch
Each student must bring their own lunch. Please avoid unhealthy foods and any foods containing nuts to protect students with allergies.

Important Notice
MCE's Adult School reserves the right to expel any student who fails to adhere to MCE or school policies.

Final Supplication
We ask Allah The Almighty to grant our children and all Muslims the ability to recite and understand the Book of Allah, following the example of our prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). We conclude by giving all praises and thanks to Allah, The Lord of all the Worlds.
